Hello,
As many of you may remember we do a line in security products for classic and custom cars.
As our central locking kit started selling, most applications were fine but due to an over sight on our behalf they did not fit (without manufacturing a lever system) the classic mini.
Last December we finished our prototype model tailored for the classic mini door structure and sent off a copy to a friendly engineering company we have used in the past. As the months past we grew tired of their excuses as to why these were not ready yet as the parts required are not that hard to reproduce. With every week that past we had more orders coming in for them and have to apologise to a few members on TMF who are still awaiting their central locking update package.
The engineering company we used has since informed us that they have gone bust, we have since sent off our prototype to another firm who are manufacturing the parts we require.
We hope that we have not put people off with this, and can only apologise for the slow production of these parts, it is annoying for us too as we have stopped advertising this new range of products that we were getting great feedback on.
the alarms are still for sale and work great!

I too am interested, as there appears to be a key stuck in my passenger lock. Central locking would be much easier!
