hi all, ive just put some 5x10s on my standard all round drum braked mini, whilst out this morning on the first run they seem to rub at the rear whilst cornering, i know about the spacered drums but do i need to replace the shoes if i change the the spacered ones? there only seems to be about 2-3mm between the damper and tyre.
spaced out

are you sure your suspension hasn't collapsed? May just be that it's time for a new spring

your wheels have the off set/ in set for spaced drums not your non spaced drums
just fit the spaced drums and longer studs
you dont need to replace the shoes unless they look warn :smartass:

But if you increase the track at the rear you should do same at front to keep the car balanced. If there is clearance at the rear when at rest - why does it rub when running ? Are the trailing arm bearings knackered - allowing the arm to move inwards under load.
