Is that actually alloy or is it just very shiny? I thought that roll cages had to be steel for the strength????
PS what wheels has the mini in your banner got? is it yours?

I think it is mainly for 'show' purposes if you know what i mean, it says that is is actually alloy, must have some strength.. i like the idea of it because it fits into the seat belt holes so there is no drilling and that.

the wheels are chrome minilights 12 x 5.5.... puttting some plastic W & P arches on soon, need to get them sprayed body coloured firstly tho i reckon???

That is a couple of pieces of polished alloy, NOT a roll cage.

Personally I would never fit one to mine or anyones car. As its only fastened in with the top seat belt mounts, god knows what would happen or where it would end up in a rear end accident.

I don't think it is just the top seat belt mounts, i think it is the 2 rear mounts in the back of the car, the 2 top, and the 2 bottom.

It just looks really nice!! very expensive tho, £199!!!!!! a FIA approved real one would be cheaper!!

The one I looked at was only bolted in at the top and there was not fitting to bolt them at the bottom of the legs.

if you look at it financially, you get stung by the insurance for having a 'roll cage' fitted, but you get none of the benefit of the real thing.

Have you actually seen one of these cages in the flesh, they look totally C**p. They look like a crappy idea of a bling after-thort thats had no planning put into making it look and fit like its meant to. :gasp:

no, thats why i asked on here if anybody had seen one in the flesh because i wasn't sure how they actually looked from inside the car!!!!

i think i like the idea of it being such thick piping.. oh well!!! minds made up now anyways!!- ain't getting it!! it has had too much bad feedback!! too expensive

And it is a fake rollcage!! probably do more harm than good if i rolled it!!

better spend the money on some 1.5.1 roller tips and a stage 3 head instead!! anybody got one lying around??

I would rather drive a Trabant than fit an Alloy set of tubes or a Road cage to one of my cars.
