Hi, will a CAM 4810 cylinder head (which i think is a A+ 998??) fit an 1979 A series 1100 engine without any probs, or is it better having the 12g202's exhaust valve seats sorted for unleaded? Another question that just poped into my head (as they do) are the chamber sizes the same? the reason i'm asking is i just picked CAM 4810 up for a fiver so it would be great if my lad could use it on his clubman.
Many thanks in advance for any help Tim.

You could use it - but you would lose performance. No need to 'unlead' the 202 head - just set the valve gaps to 15 thou, and check/reset regularly - say every 3000 miles..... The exhaust valves from the CAM head are better - put them in the 202 head! CAM head is 24.8cc and the 202 is 26.1cc

Thanks Sam =] sods law eh! you can never have too many mini parts though  and thanks for the info Roy (it is Roy int'it?) your a wealth of information, would the higher compression of the 998 head not make up a bit of the loss from the change? and would it be a noticable loss of performance? many thanks Tim.
