Do the alloy ones work significantly better?

Not tried the alloy rads, but out of all the others the 4 core is the best.

Really, what makes them better?

Why are the 2 cores more expensive?

2 core rads have been proven to be more efficient than 4 core ones, due to the fact that air can pass alot more freely through the rad. They do say the fins on a four core rad block slower than a 2 core one but in the ten years that i have beeen using 2 core rads in all different conditions, i've never known one clog.

Watch out for skinny 2 core rads though. I got one of these in an emergency at a show, and they are only 30mm thick. The minispares ones are the decent 40-44mm ones

As for alloy versions, they cool that well that i thought i had a water blockage somewhere, as the bottom of the rad felt cold to the touch.
