Just to the left of my wiper motor is a connector that presumably takes a relay. As it is not actually there I do not know what to replace it with, I looked at a wiring diagram and I read it as it being for the interior light? Something to do with the switched earthing for the light to work when doors are open or closed maybe?

If anyone could tell me which one I need it would be a help. Thanks.

You know that bit of text when you start a new thread which asks for you to fill in the year and model of your car... that would be really helpful right now...

It sounds like you are describing the hazard light relay. I presume if you try turning your hazard lights on you'll find they don't work.

The hazard lights and interior light run off the same fuse, so that might be where you're getting confused.

Sorry, I presumed that the wiring for this would be a standard fitment. It's an '88 Jet Black.

I thought the hazard relay was inside the car or is that just the indicator one?

I can't actually check at the moment as none of the lights are in.. It was sent for paint a couple days ago so nothing much is wired up except ignition. I just know it's the only part of the electrics I do not have and therefore do not know what to replace it with.

Sorry for not being clear enough to start.

That's just the indicator one. The hazard relay is located next to the wiper motor exactly as you described.
