hi, im in the middle of stripping my front subframe to fit new parts but i cant get the arm off that the front shocks attach to? ive got the trumpet unattached by shattering it with a hammer  so i can at least move the arm up and down but i still cant see how to get it off, ive also took 1 of the 2 bolts off that r either side but i cant seem to get both off? any ideas?

I've read that a few times and I think I know what you're on about, you mean you can't get the top suspension arm off?

I assume you haven't read the Haynes manual (which to be honest would be a good idea as it would tell you what to do).

Either end of the pivit of the arm is a bolt, you say you have removed one of these. If it is the one towards the rear of the car then fine, if not remove the one towards the rear of the car.

Now, the bolt on the end of the pivot towards the front of the car (visible from the engine bay has two amaller bolts either side of it holding an eye shaped plate on. Remove these bolts and tap the pivit through from the rear.

The Haynes manual will explain it far better than I have just done, so if you have one read it and if you don't, go and buy one.
