I walked by a bentley continental with MR LION on it's plate in Brighton a few years back... it doesn't look like a brittish number though.. don't know why I thought of jamaican drug dealers at the time...

Probably £250 from DVLA

Really. I thought it would be more then then that. Either way its a pretty cool plate for an 11 plate polo.

also used to see - DA 13OMB doing its rounds in birmingham, think it was on a yellow brush painted nova in birmingham lol

I think someone was running a very illegal plate then because you cant buy that reg until 2013 and it would have to be a brand new car with a 13 reg plate

or a private plate!!

NO!

There is no such thing as a 'private numberplate'

You can buy a specific combination from the DVLA of ones which aren't reserved for future years.

But you still have to have it in a certain format. ie, at least one letter followed by one number, up to a maximum of 3 numbers. Which can then be followed either by no letters, or 3 letters.
OR 3 letters followed by at least one with a maximum of 3 numbers followed by either nothing, or 1 letter.
OR 2 letters followed by 2 numbers followed by 3 letters.
OR 3 letters followed by 3 or 4 numbers with no more letters, (northern irish registrations)

Those are the options as far as i am aware, and every plate in the UK will follow one of those.

That plate was probably D413 OMB just fiddled with to make the 4 look more like an A

No, even if it was brought from dvla it won't be 13 until you can get a 13 plate on a car from the garage

Also you can't put a newer plate on an older car as it could allow unscrupulous people to sell a car on at an inflated rate.

I have an 'M' Reg plate on retention as I can't put it on my 'F' Reg mini. :)

There was a ford focus at Uni that had FRU 1T. It was a foreign plate so I wonder if they noticed it at all.
