hi all.
odd request i know but i think it would look realy cool.
im thinking of getting rid of all the mini keys so that i only have one key on the bunch. what i want to know is as i currently have 3 keys doors and boot/ignition/ and petrol cap can i get away with having just one i know i could leave the petrol cap key in the ash tray which takes it down to 2 but has anyone ever done a conversion using the keys from another car by replacing the barrels in the locks and using the ignition barrel from another car but still retain the usual steering lock. i still want my mini to look standard so different door handles are a no.
athanks in advance for any help.
max.

its an 87 mayfiar meaning the ignition barrel is on the steering colum

There's no room in the handles for a key as large as the ignition switch uses on late cars. Earlier cars with an ignition switch on the dash can be keyed alike (apart from the fuel cap, but they never had locking caps as standard back then).
