Well i'm thinking ahead a bit here but my mini is a 92' Mayfair on carbs with a cat. Atm it has a decat pipe and a single box twin dtm exhaust and its very loud. I'm not fussed on having a very loud exhaust, just something that isn't silent. I'm looking at having a twin box rc40 or the maniflow one below. My question is, which one should i go for? I really like the rolled edge exhausts (the maniflow one) or do i pay half the price (ish) and get the rc40?

Maniflow

RC40

Any help would be great! :w00t:

Cheers!

I fitted an RC40 to my old Cooper and it went on ok, and didn't sound too bad, if a little bit raspy.

I then fitted a brand new Maniflow system and manifold to the Clubby and it went on like a dream and sounds great.

From personal experience I would spend the extra and go with the Maniflow system, you won't regret it - its just if you can justify the initial extra outlay.

I probably can because i'll sell my old exhaust for a few quid (hopefully) and get the maniflow one. Only thing is, will the maniflow still perform well with a standard manifold or do you think i should replace that too (bear in mind insurance - will it affect it? - first time driver soon) Plus i have to keep the cat on.

It won't provide much (if any) of a power gain if you kept the standard manifold, but it will certainly improve the looks, and will be a good starting point for further exhaust and engine upgrades, especially when you decide to fit an LCB and the rest of the system.

Oh, and the twin box RC40 is good, but IMHO the twin box Maniflow system is better!
