got fed up with trying to lock the flywheel while undoing / tightening
the flywheel bolt, so I decided to make a locking tool....

just bolts onto the starter mounting...

Old shells / big end bearings are brilliant for that. Always have an old one in my tool kit to wedge in there. ^_^

That's a good idea, I've been using an old one that was originally designed for a VW Beetle. Does the job though.
