Are 165/60 R12 71h Tyres The Right Size For 12 By 6 Wheels

hey guys i brought a set of 12 by 6 wheels then recentlly i brought a new pair of falken tyres the size is as follows 165/60 r12 71h are these tyres the right size for 12 by 6 wheels because i brought a pair as thats what size the yokos were. i took them to the garge they put one on and then said it was to tight and have cut it of and put the old ones back on so ive lost a brand new tyre thanks ross

where did the wheels come from by any chance?

dont now i got them of ebay but surely if the same size tyres are going which were on there before there shouldnt be a problem so falkens and yokos have different sizes?

That is the right size tyre for the wheel.
There are some wheels which are a bit odd and that is probably the problem.

sorry what do you mean a bit odd sorry may have been sharp just fed up cause the garage has ruined the bead on one of my new tyres and its not good and they arent gonna pay for a new one thanks ross

If you get 'heavy' with the tyre fitting place they will replace it as they have a duty of care to you as a customer and if the wheel was unsuitable then they, as 'experts' should not have tried to fit it.
I've heard that MWS wheels can be a problem.

it wasnt a specialist fitter it was my local garage who said they could do it will get pics asap

If the garage were doing it free-of-charge, then you have no come back. If they were charging you then they have caused a consequential loss and they must replace the tyre for you.

i work at a garage and i fitted the same tyres to my 12x6. vouch my words there F ***ing tight :D the first tyre i fitted was the worst and i did damage the wheel slightly :D but it was all gravy then the others i fitted fine :D but they were a squeeze

yeh they were charging me about 15 pound i will try and get my money back but they never take me seriously but anyway will keep you updated thanks ross
