I am a lover if Focal, I currently have a set of the K2P mids my M3 and they are wonderful.
But I will say although their mid and mid bass are awesome Ive always found their tweets a little bright (harsh/loud) for my tastes, I like a laid back top end. But with a little setup I'm sure you will love them.

But Focal over JL everyday for comps IMO, JL are great at something's (subs) but focal comps are classy.

Well, id say the best way to find out what one suits you better is to go to a GOOD audio shop and have a listen to a few demos.

Personally i find the Jl`s a touch warmer and the Focals a bit more clinical, ie more precise.

x2 - asking a question like this is like asking which is better, the roundnose or the clubman. its a matter of opinion.

The problem that i've found is less and less car audio shops/dealers actually having stock of what your interested in AND they are will to set them up to demo them.
Most buyers are driven by value and will buy from the internet and the shops know this and so are less and less willing to set up kit for demos... Catch 22

It gets worst the higher up the range you go, to find a dealer that is willing to set up 3 different sets of £1000 comps for A to B to C comparison is imposable.
Best hope is to get to Car Audio meets and listen to as many different systems as you can.

If people haven't got the time then recommendation sometimes is the best option..

by the way I think thats a good description of the Focal's... Clinical, at least there Tweeters.
I also find Alpine source units all sound processed and unreal, again Clinical would be a good word. Its almost like the manufactures try to hard to make the sound perfect and take all the feeling out.
