Hi, owned the car for 6 months (1994 Sprite), saved up a bit and I am trying to get the bodywork back to a good condition, starting at the back

From purchase, the car has had the bubbling and since then it hasn't spread (touch wood!) :D

Just looking at how i would go about getting it sorted before it inevitably spreads and becomes a serious problem, window out jobby and repair panels or what?

Thanks

I would replace the metal as it looks a little too far gone. Not sure which panel you require but someone will !! Window out, cut, weld and paint, two days work !!!

Thanks for the replies, i'll have a look around to see exactly which panel I need :D

Thing is it's not actually that bad visually, but now I know its there it's all I ever seem to look at! Seems to get ten times worse every day! :D

i wouldnt want to leave that too much longer, you're going to end up with a puddle in your boot soon!!
this is the only panel i can find that has that part included, you might be able to get just the rail though

I have the piece you required, I cut it out of another shell some years ago to salvage the rear parcel shelf.

I'll take a pic later and post it up on here, if your interested im sure we can come to a deal

Do you reckon this part will cover the rust? (45) , or will i need the whole full width panel? (44)

Big difference between £9.00 and £120.00, bit sceptical of the 'budget' panel :D

Oh wait, is this the panel the boot hinge attaches to? >_<

I would say that's the boot hinge panel!

And your right to be sceptical, most copy panels use thinner gauge steel that the original panel
