Im changing mine to the later 'click' to lock type instead of twist to lock. But its got a plastic body, no thread/nut, how does this fasten to the switch panel? :S

You need a new late switch panel, switch panel bracket and retaining clip. The cable fits through a larger, D - shaped hole in the new panel, and through the bracket the same way as the early cable is fitted and is retained there by a spring clip which slides into the groove in the cable outer.

The bracket is really hard to find, you might need to get it from a scrapper or you might get away with enlarging the hole in the existing bracket. It does really need to be the right one though as otherwise the panel will be a sloppy fit to the car and will move about when you use the choke.
