i am stuck on what to do my choice is weather to spend my money on:

doing my current mini up which will involve getting a new subframe and all the welding and paint work done, i will also get new wheels and loads of mods but sticking with my current engine.

or

buying a good condition late sportspack with a few accesories.

what do you think i should do?

Stick with your current mini. Even with the work needed doing it'll probably be cheaper than selling and buying etc.

Also, you know what's faulty/replaced on your car, the sportspack will have unexpected problems of it's own. I'd do whatever needs doing on your mini if I were you.

u can buy a sportpack and then proberly spend more on fixing it than your own car is going to need, and once your car is done right it will last a few yrs

depends on how you term not bad body work wise it needs:

wings
bonnet
front panel
scuttle
doors
sills
boot
roof
and repairs to the door steps and under the rear windows
:w00t:

upside is though after all that work it should be mint.

the only thing is its going to cost loads!

Im doin that whilst mine gets finished, get a standard 998 to run-around in if you can afford it. Then you won't miss your car as much and it'll give you longer to do it exactly how you want it.

wings
bonnet
front panel
scuttle
doors
sills
boot
roof
and repairs to the door steps and under the rear windows

Similar list to mine un mines costing £400+ through me mates dad!

Do what I did, stick with the Mini and buy a normal second car as a runaround.

Then join the internet forum relating to that car.

Then get hooked on that car too.

Then end up with 2 cars you want to modify (Mini and said other car)

Then drop a supercharged G40 engine into your other car.

Oh wait, thats not such a good idea!

(but if you buy a crappy second car for £100 or something while you're doing the Mini it will save money in the long run - VW's are a good bet :cheese: )

Do what I did, buy a second hand car, like a rubbish old Escort for £140.

Crash it. Pay £70 for reapairs, carried out mostly by myself.

Use it for many long distance trips. Even offer lovely looking girls in other cars pringles whilst travelling at 70mph down the motorway.

Give some bored mates some Dulux white emulsion, and some rollers and recieve go faster stripes, 'flames' down the sides and a mess on the spoiler.

Have difficulty selling the car less than a year on.

Donate to a scrapyard.

I think you know what to do now!
