hey guys, i've been having this problem with my mini especially when i on the air conditioning.. i have fitting an external fan that runs all the time and the original belted fan is running clean and smoothly as well.. the radiator has been changed to a 3 core one as well.. using the correct rad cap.. yet when im driving with the air cond on in normal roads at speeds of 60-70km/30-40miles the temperature gauge shows half or below half.. but once i get onto the highway/motorway and reach speeds of 90-100km/h or 50-60miles an hour the temperature goes slightly above normal to almost 3/4 of the gauge.. here a picture below.. pls have a look and give me some advice regarding this problem.. i do not have a thermostat as i live in malaysia which is hot and also my water pump seems to be shooting water out well.. pls help me guys would really appreciate it and sorry for the long long explanation.. thanks

having your water pump spit water out wont help things mate, get this sorted, and it should improve things, temperatures like you are showing aren't bad, as you say you live in a hot country, its expected! so sort the water pump and you will see the benefits :)

hope this helps!

thanks for the quick replies guys.. but theres nothing wrong with my water pump wad i meant was that when i took the top hose out and ran the car.. the water pump was shooting the water out nice and strong which indicates the pump is working fine.. although i can't be sure if it works fine under highway driving.. any other suggestions guys?
