Installing An Immobiliser

i want a immobiliser fitted in my mini, as i have been quoted £140 for the installation by a company. i want to save myself some money and do it myself, is this and easy job and would it take long to do?

Im all for DIY, but for alarms and immobilizers if your get a Thatcham approved unit fitted by a Thatcham company if will help your insurance premium.
Depending on your yearly premium and value of your mini it might pay to get it fitted within a year or two.

But back to the question, it all depends on the unit and more importantly your experience with electronics/ auto electrics.

have you got the immobiliser or is that supply and fit ?
