i have a set of chrome wheel arches that are meant to fit over the black plastic ones. but i didnt know what and so took my plastic ones off, doing so i broke one of them.
so can i fit the chrome arches onto the car without the existing ones. do i have to rivet it or is there a way using an adhesive that will work? could i make brackets to hold it in place?
they came with the car and just fancied putting them on today. also i did hold them up against the black plastic ones and they looked slightly smaller and so assumed they didn't go over them...
thankyou

They do go over them, I've got them although they will be going soon as I have to much chrome on my car. They should fit nicely.

unless they're something different they fit over the standard plastic arches with a couple of self tappers to attach them...

They slot over the standard arches and screw on from below into the original plastic arches, I don't think there's any way of fitting them without the plastic arches.

I know exactly what you mean i fitted the sit over arches on my mini and they did the same. if you have a rubber strip behind the plastic this can reduce the look of the gap as the rubber meets the rubber(if that makes sence?)
I will be making a few mods to my plastic arches this weekend if all goes to plan i will post a few pics and explain what i did or if it goes horribly wrong i`ll tell you what not to do!! hahaha
