That is a good question. I have a 93 Sprite with a carb but it also has a number of things that would have been on the SPI's so I'm unsure of what it is/was. Having said that SPI to carb converstions have been done.

Know your check list...
Lights (heads, dip, indicators, hazards, reverse, fog)
Wheels (check for any rubbing on arches)
Suspension (park it up on a curb and have a look underneath)
Floor plan (foot and boot)
doors
Radio (essential. lol)

Good luck.

The Cooper was SPI in 1993, so the Sprite will share some bits, like the charcoal cannister, aux fan etc, but a '93 sprite will have a HIF38 carb.

I've got a 94 Sprite.

Parituclarly bad areas on mine when I bought it were around the front headlights, sills and boot floor.

Does anyone have a list of what SPi equipment would be fitted to a '94 Carb?

i.e Aux Fan
Charcoal Cannister

Where do I start with this mini.
Dented to feck!
Kids have been running over it.
Exhaust blowing and there was a suspicious White smoke coming from that area!
Thermostat/water pump was spraying me in the face whilst I was trying to rev up the engine!
And I little bit of rust!
He wanted £1200 and I offered £800
Have now decide to look around!
What do you guys think of the price?

It's more a case that the 93 Sprites are in a league of their own, carbs with cats in the later SPI designed shell with washer bottle in back aux fan hole etc, but with the carb wiring harness, and the lower watt alt... so not really SPi equipment fitted/shared.

I don't know this for sure (kinda working from memory), but looking at my picture (top left) can reference from our two if needed 93 Sprite & 92 Spi Cooper.

Back on topic...

Hard to tell, sounds shafted, pay what you feel you want, you've been to see it... all can be fixed, make sure the bottom hose hasn't gone on the 93 sprite, it's kind of unique!
