I've bought an uprated MPi rad, it's not arrived yet and I'm kind of worried now its not got to fit in the engine bay! (I'm not running a standard setup)

Looking at the pictures (what limited pictures are available!) of them they appear to have a thicker core than the standard ones?? I hope this is not the case as I might just cry I've got around 1/2" clearance between the rad and alternator and just need to know the dimensions mainly the thickness, and the measurement from the centre line of the top mounts back to the side nearest the engine? If someone could be so nice

Is it the Minispares all metal one? I have it in the workshop, I'll check it against the old one and let you know!

I've checked the rad, the uprated all metal rad from minispares has a thicker core by about 4-5mm, however the ends were the inlet and outlet are appear the same size. The extra thickness on the core looks like it's on the side nearest to the front panel.

As the ends are the same I dont think it's going to cause you much of a problem mate.

Thanks, I've bought one from Minispeed, most likely the same supplier anyway I've got a bit more clearance now, after I modified the bodywork slightly Hopefully I'll get it by friday, I was planning on firing up the engine at the weekend. But minispeed are waiting for the radiators to arrive from their supplier...
