Mini Equinox - 1996

Condition: Very Good
Price: £5200
Location: Newmarket, Suffolk
TAX: N/a
MOT: 12 Months (I will take it for it's test this week).

Overview of Features

Standard 1996 Equinox with the exception of the following main items:

- KYB Dampers
- Hi-Lo's all round
- Maniflow Eshaust Manifold
- RC 40 Backbox
- Three Clock Instrument Cluster

My father originally bought this car for my younger sister in 2005 shortly after she passed her driving test. She drove it for a couple of years but had a minor accident in it around December 2007. She was in town, the roads were wet. At low speed, the car ahead of her applied his brakes hard, my sister tried to brake too but she touched his rear bumper. His car was totally fine but the mini had a minor amount of front end damage which required 1 new wing, 1 new front panel and 1 new bonnet plus a front end re-spray. After the work was done my sister decided that she didn't want to drive the car any more, so it sat around in the garage unused.

In early 2009 I decided that I'd like to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the mini in some way. I decided that I'd take the Equinox on the Brands Hatch to Nurburgring Run. I got really enthusiastic and decided to give the mini a thorough tidy-up ready for the run in August/September 2009. I put a huge amount of effort and quite a lot of money into the car. It was absolutely faultless on the way to and from Germany and it has remained 100% reliable.

It's a shame to sell it because I have had some great times with the Equinox and it's a brilliantly sorted car. I'm confident that if you were to come and have a drive of it you would be highly impressed with how 'together' the car feels.

I've wanted to sell the car in as close to standard specification as I can as I know that buyers often prefer a standard car.

Items that I have removed, which I will sell separately are:

- MiniSpares Minilight Wheels and Yokohama A359 Tyres
- Maniflow De-Cat Pipe
- K&N Air Filter

Therefore with the above removed, the car is looking as below:

I've just thought of another point that I should mention:

Since I've owned the car, it's always been kept garaged. I've only used it in the summer months (it hibernates in the garage during the winter), so it's been kept away from salt.

I keep it in a lock-up away from the house, but for viewing I can bring it to the main garage by the house where you'll have access to lamps and jacks etc to take a thorough look at the car.
