Hey there! My names Cory, and I've just bought my first classic Mini a month ago. I bought a (1980) Mini 1275GT (with the Clubman style front) in it's classic chocolate brown colour. I was really quite lucky to get this for a fairly good price and even better, I have wanted this exact style and colour since I was about 15 so blimmin excited about the purchase haha

My ultimate goal is to restore it back to a pretty stylish and classic condition, with a fresh repaint in the same colour and whole new interior etc - so I'm hoping to get a lot of help from the forum members here!

Biggest problem is my location, all the great Mini parts are in the UK, so will be stumping up a fair amount for shipping by the looks of it!

The front fender and bonnet has a fresh lick of paint because the previous owner said it was dented by a small accident a bit over a year ago, which is a shame because the rest of the car has it's original paint and needs to be completely re-done! Just one of the many alterations and changes I'll have to get onto soon!

Yep I was very lucky to get it a lot cheaper than they had it listed for on TradeMe!

As for everyone else, thanks for the welcome - I'm in Auckland NZ. Will post some more pics when I get on my other computer sometime!

What kind of blower is it? how do you go with the Rego or do you just keep it quiet? I have an old Shorrock supercharger I bought second hand in the seventies and never used it yet. I am in the process of dragging it out of mothballs and seeing what needs to be done. I will have to fabricate manifolds as I didn't get any with it. Cheers Kev.

its a eaton 45 .. i had it on for the mini nats last year . but i put it on when i had a wof . but is out now .just wating for a steering rack . get a wheel alignment . then take it for a cert . hope fully on the road for this years mini nats in napier
