i never thought about lossing weight of a car like that, it may not look great to some people but if you wonna go faster then its a good idea. GLWTS :)

I think it would only be proper to point out that if you fit modified parts to your car, then it's your responsibility to ensure the modifications don't jeopardise safety or your insurance cover.

Since it's being mentioned, then the highest loading on the pedal, due to the leverage, will be at the clevis pin hole - or within the same distance from the axis of the pedal's shaft. Make sure there's a reasonable bit more metal left around any holes you drill than there is around the clevis pin hole and don't make any holes closer to the pedal shaft. Bear in mind you can generate forces in less optimum directions on the pedal side than with the master cylinder that's aligned squarely to the pedal's sweep.
