I'd go for the Teng, just because they are good koala tea. You adjust it by turning the handle, it goes up in increments, the angled bit on the handle is fine adjustment. It will come with destructions, they're pretty simple to use.

If you need to be tightening things up that need lower than 40nm then I guess so. Depends what you want it for. Look in a Haynes and see what the lowest and highest torque figures are for the type of stuff that you plan on using it for, and get whatever suits that best. Just get something decent, Teng, Britool, Snap on etc. Rubbish tools are a false economy.

yeah ill have a look in haynes... just thought the gearwrench simply because it goes from 33Nm to 338Nm but i could go for 2 teng torque wrenches of 20-110Nmand 40-210Nm for a similar price

I have that Teng wrench and have found it perfect so far. Much more sturdy and better quality than the cheapo clarke one I had before that and do far i've re done my suspension and rebuilt my engine with it, and nothings gone bang yet.

40-210Nm. I think there was a few bolts that needed the smaller size, but I just bought the smaller size from halfords used it with care and returned it the next day.

I have both a Halfords 10 - 60Nm and Teng 40 - 210Nm, I find the Halfords one better as it has a more defined lick when you reach the torque limit that you've set it, were are if you are using the teng one you can sometimes miss it if you are tightening too quickly.

Halfords torque wrench is also part of their advanced range so comes with a lifetime guarantee.

I loose count of the torque wrenches I have, but I have Britool and the Halfords ones...

Value for money the Halfords ones are excellent, come with certificated calibration, and as above have a lifetime warranty ( apart from the ratchet mechanism )
