Furry Dashboard.......help

hi all,new to the forum,picking up my mayfair tomorrow ive purchased,absolutely sound little car,want peoples opinion on a furry dash thats in it.heres a pic tell me what you think i should do with it,cheers

i was gunna bid for this on ebay, solid little car but to be honist the furry dash put me off, if i remember rightly the roof was furry too, think of how much hoovering u'l have to do to keep it relatively clean.....

Err its different :) all you need is leopard skin seat covers and you'll be fine! :) seriously though if you like it keep it, if you don't get rid, its your car. Now i've got a strange craving for a bowl suger puffs!

Unless you smoke, in which case i'd carry a fire extinguisher and/or oven gloves

hi annie,i got the car from oldbury,was it the same one you bid on,iv had 1 week and the furriness has gone in the bin,stuck for ideas on how to do dash now any ideas,cheers,nol

You could always leave it plain or recover it in a material of your choice, I did mine in suede and I think it looks ok Attached File  photo.JPG   495.18K   14 downloads

I got the suede material from a shop local to me and have lined underneath with quarter inch upholstery foam which was attached with spray glue then the suede was layed over the top and glued around the edges. It was a time consuming job but worth it in the end I think, just in the process of covering the centre console to match :)

Thats why I didnt stick it down to the foam, as knew at some point I would either have to change it due to becoming discoloured, or if I fancy a change :) The car is garaged and have a sun screen for the front screen when parked up so it should be ok for a few years :thumbsup:
