click on where it says Lo-Fi version (bottom of the site somewhere) for a mobile friendly version but its not an app as such

got to the bottom where it says change theme then select IP.Board Mobile :)

On my Android phone, using the built-in Chrome browser, it looks as good as an App, and works very nicely.

go for it all you have to do to be honest is make a full screen webrowser where it loads the mobile theme automatically and make sure you cant change domain at the top

No, there's no need for an app, it won't bring any benefit to the forum over using a web browser.

No, there's no need for an app, it won't bring any benefit to the forum over using a web browser.

 

And it's quite likely that it would be slower/less functional than just using the mobile theme with the browser

The mobile version is simpler than the web version, however I just use the web version on my phone (as I am doing now) you can create widgets on android which can take you straight to the forum just like an app
