Hi

I'm not too sure if I'm in the right section, but can anyone recomend a good air compressor.

It will have to be single phase and able to run basic tools, with the possibility of running a spray gun.

Budget is around £300, but I've always been told, buy the best tool you can afford.
I've been looking at the Clarke 3Hp V Twin Compressor SED14A100, anyone seen/used one?

What size tubing should I use? And where is the most reasonable place to buy all the kit?

I've got a clarke V twin, http://www.machinema...r-compressors-2

it's pretty good, does the job, single phase... wired it up to a 3 pin 240v plug (even though I've been advised plenty of times not to, it doesn't draw much more than what a kettle would draw). It's a bit loud but it's not on too much with the decent-ish size tank, though it comes on quite a bit if using something like a die grinder. I've actually been thinking of selling it as it hardly gets used for the amount of money I paid but I'm sure if I sell it I'll need it, it's quite heavy too about 60kg at a guess, didn't half struggle lifting it over top of my mini to get it into the back of the garage.

Hi. Do you have a nifty smart phone and the knowledge to be able to post a video of it working?

The Sealy V twin 3hp compressor is very nice and you can pick it up on Ebay for less than £250.

Hi.

Thanks for the reply. Would 50 litre be big enough?

I was about to say 'Thread Hijack', but that machine looks good.

Does anyone have any info about it? Its at least £110 cheaper than the clarke unit.

Also it is a 10Bar operating machine which makes some difference.

Yes mine arrived also, I am really pleased with mine, very good value for the money, I have not sprayed with it yet but I feel it is more than up to the job of paint spraying and running tools, not too noisy and slow running.
