clicky
i use this, good stuff
Yep its so good its recommended to change it every 2 to 3k.
Bearing in mind this is Halfords we are talking about. We all know the kind of top class tech advice they give out
No disrespect to anyone who works at halfords
Well actually that same oil is sold elswhere with the very same advice so I guess it comes from the manufacturer/distributor. I cannot believe its not recommended for a reason, its cheap to buy but taking into consideration the recommended service intervals, it becomes expensive. If you want cheap oil try Mazola chip oil and put your own additives.

Yeh it comes from comma oils. I would say its just recommended guidlines to keep the oil at its peak performance.

Your car may only be a W reg but that doesnt mean the engine doesnt date back to the 50s. That Halfords oil will work a treat.

40 grade is best for the engine, however the box needs a higher viscosity such as a 70 grade, so the best compromise for engine + box is to use a 50 grade.
Normally this would be 20W/50

Contains an additive that is designed to protect your gearbox. Its Pricey, but then again oil is cheaper than metal!
