mini 1000 automatic
1974
the problem i have enconted was upgradeing the front drums to disc brake, but the disc breaks i used where from a mini metro.
The information i am lookin for help is if standard minin disc break drive shafts will fit into this hub as the drum break shafts do not fit as they are too small.
So is it posible to use mini disc drive shaft or will i have to use mini metro driveshafts?.
Thanks laz

Firstly, yes Mini outer CV joints will fit the metro hub assembly.... and also your existing driveshafts.

On a SAFETY note you must fit adjsutable bottom arms, tiebars and extended track rod ends...

For clarity, your drum driveshafts will fit, they just need disc type CV joints on the end. Mini & Metro are the same. Also use the earliest pattern of Metro balljoints (Pre 84?)

Metro and Mini hubs are almost the same in there designbut critical dimensions are quite a way out.... the adjsutable bottom arms and tie bars is to enable the hubs to be adjusted to help to correct the suspension geometry, however having used this method it does take a bit of setting up and is never really quite as good as the Mini setup...
