I need to un-braize some wheel arches and was wondering if a blowtorch is hot enough? or is there a better way?

It may do if its 'silver solder' rather than braze...... I doubt it will do much for braze....

From what I understand a standard propane blow torch operates at about 2000 degrees C, where as brazing requires temperatures nearer 3500 degrees C! Meaning that your probably going to need an o2/acetylene torch if you are intent on removing the brazing with heat. Other than that I'd probably suggest the slightly less sophisticated method of cutting/ grinding away with an angle grinder instead.

Altough a prppane torch burns hot enough, it is unlikly that it will provide enough BTU's unless it is a big one, or one of the MAPP gas ones.
