hey guys , i was wondering how reliable the turbo engine is , as ive herd some bad reveiws about if anyone knew the pro's and con's and any common problems with them would be muchly appreciated

Basically what happend is that lots of people bought knackered old metro turbos, stuck the engines in minis and then (surprise, surprise) they broke.
A turbo engine is no more or less reliable than any other A-series. Infact, bhp for bhp, a turbo engine will be more reliable than an NA engine.

cheers wil h , if i can get hold of a turbo engine for 350 including everything apart for the ecu would you say it would be worth it , he recons there is no play or very hardly any play at all

If you do get the engine, i would recommend getting it checked over by a professional, reliable garage to be on the safe side.

I'd say 350 is a decent price considering what they go for these days... more than its worth IMO but less than market value.
it dosent mater about the ECU being missing as these go in the bin anyway, also a lot of non turbo lumps are being sold as turebo ones, check the engine no,
