Ignition Wires

I have an Austin Mini Mayfair and I'm changing the ignition switch so its dash mounted.

What wire is what? Theres four, White, White/red, brown and green/white

best thing to do is use a test lamp and check terminals for power, i am sure the brown goes to starter selonide

Brown = 12v supply
White/green = accessory (1st key position, for radio etc)
White = ignition (2nd key pos'n)
White/red = starter

It should be mentioned that it is both illegal and extremely, unbelievably dangerous to set your car up so that it is possible for the engine to be running while the steering lock is engaged. It's also the law that cars from after around 1973 or so have an interlocked immobiliser, this is what the steering lock is for.
