Well am looking for a works cooper for my wife 2007 onward s to replace existing car.

Just a little mystified why the paper work for the JCW upgrade only shows exhaust manifold, air filter and exhaust itself.

I thought the head was reworked too ?

Any ideas as to whats up with the car i looked at yesterday ?

Should it be listed ?

The head was reworked but not replaced when you opted for the JCW package on a MINI. Although I think the head reworking was a more expensive package. What year was the car you went to look at?

It would make sense that the paperwork shows exhaust manifold, exhaust and air filter as they were parts that were replaced, rather than modified or reworked. I'd still expect there to be something to show for the head work.

dbl check all the paper work and parts of the exterior. my check mate cooper s has the JCW upgrades on it. you have different exhaust tail pipes, all the goodies in the engine have John Cooper works writted on them. there should also be a plaque on the engine telling you what numberr upgrade it is. You should also have a black front grille. ill try and put some pics up of mine but not sure how to do it. It also has an oil cooler in the front.

thanks for your replys

I had this reply

JCW kit has only exhaust, air intake, reprogrammed ecu and JCW-badging. Factory JCW has upgraded pistons, clutch, gearbox, bigger turbo etc.

All its missing for me is the chrome line kit which seems to be available on ebay for £100 as a stick over mod

I have posted details on the Chromeline interior kits and DIY fitting guides on the 'Mini Cooper Register' forum for both the Mk1 & Mk2 MINI's.
