hi all, im wanting to lower my mini but worried about it catching the arches when i go over speedbumps, lumps ect..... what would be the best set up to lower it yet stiffen it up so it does not give me a extra tread grove in my tyre

erm not really sure i got my hilos 2nd hand for £20
and shocks you could prob get for £80 for like spax or gaz 2 nd hand

your more likely to hit the exhaust than the arches hitting the body work

If it does end up rubbing, you can cut your arches and shape a new lip round them for strength.

lowering a mini isnt the same method as lowering other cars, i.e. you cant just buy shorter springs etc
to do it safely,
hi lo's
new dampers (adjustable if you want to stiffen it up
and dependng how low you want to go i would strongly consider upgrading the tie bars and lower arms (heavy duty adjustable)
its more important to check that your current suspension is up to scratch before you think about lowering the car
check all bushes and ball joints etc
