Looking for a set of plugs for my SPi, Seems like a bit of a mine field with different suppliers stating different part numbers......

Anyway I cam eacross these NGK IRIDIUM SPARK PLUG BPR6EIX 6637, checked on the ngkpartfinder and thee are a replacement for the BPR6E plug as fitted by rover.

They are 4.50 a plug, i wonder if there is actually really gonna be any benefit, fuel consumption, emissions etc. Or will any new plug do?

Absolutely no performance advantage; they might last longer or foul less, but I wouldn't know.

And why are they any better than the NGK Irridium plugs?

The only advantage any of these plug give is their longer service life, nearly 4 times longer.

The standard BPR6E or ES plugs are all that is required

I only use Bosch Super 4's

I haven't melted one of them yet since 1996
