When you copy fibre glass parts, the dimensions alter slightly, hence any copied dashes won't fit as snugily (real word? :erm: ) as one taken from the master, which in this case is owned and created by A_SERIES_SUPPLIES.

what a load of crock if thats the case no panels evey made would fit

if you copy some thing you get the exact dupicate if you make the moulds in the

correct way to avoid heat build up and shrinkage

have done this for nearly 20 years and worked for some of the top names in boats and cars

thats my only coment on the subject of not being able to copy a fibre glass part

with out it changing

believe what you want to believe

jammy is correct direct copies of copies do get smaller and twist , UNLESS
time is taken to REFORM the item correctly then make a new mould from the corrected item
so in a way scurvy is right as well , bit of a pointless argument

but the moulds have very little to do with the heat build up, that is a chemical reaction as the resin hardens ,

thanks eddie

yes is a pointless argument

but miss informing people is not

if you apply to much lay up in one go the heat build up from the chemical reaction

will cause shrinkage and the mould twist if not braced

so has everything to do with it

unless you use a filled resin designed to stop this happening but then this is a

forum not a glassing lesson

ffs! hand bags at dawn ! to be honest ! id rather pay a good price for a good product

i admit A.S.S products are probably perfect !

but...

i believe that after sale is important and through exp i believe that you'll get that from any of these guys in question ! you dont always have to spend 600 quid to get a good/perfect end result !

for basic moulding id personally go for the supplier i new best and cheapest as prep work is ness on what ever you custom fit to a car anyway !

(since when has any mini been the same ! each part is randomly different its a mini thing !)

best of luck and buisiness to all as they all have areas of expertise that differ
your services and products speak for themselves its pointless bitchin!

below is a dash completley made myself ! also the top and bottom rails
im happy to of modded up one from my last dash even learning the sewing machine was fun !
and it cost me 140 quid and my time altho ive still got to finish the bottom.

yes its alcantara leather yes real! carbonfibre .
