My Wheel nut wrench has ogne walkies. Bought a new one from halfords but on getting home noticed it says "for 17 and 19mm nuts"

Now i'm assuming thats standard for todays vehicles but this isn't a modern machine! And I have a suspicion that this wrench is unsuited for the job I need it to do. Wanted to double check first before taking it out of the packaging cause if it doesn't fit it's back to halfords with this for a refund!

Can anybody shed any light on this situation? Also the nuts on the mini aren't proper mini ones at any rate, which is the reason I need the wrench so I can replace them all with these

Wheels on my mini are standard stuff I believe, see pic:

though if I'm honest there seem to be a bewildering array of different wheel nuts!

I hate having to take mine off. One socket doesnt fit all, I end up using 3 different sizes!

like martin (mra) stated before 17mm will just about fit or will certainly fit on a worn mini nut and 19mm is just about 3/4 so yes it would work realistically but if u want to be picky there nto correct.lol

I have just taken off all my wheels to change the tyres and replaced some of the nuts so I know. 11/16th is correct for Rover Cooper wheels. I think the supplied wheel brace has been the same for all minis since 1959 and therefore pre-metric. Because of the flimsy stainless steel covers you should use a 6 sided socket and not a 12 point.
