maybe a rule that Photoshop (or an equivalent - eg Gimp, paint.net etc) MUST be used, and entries obviously not made in said programs should not be accepted. A bit extreme, but hey, it is a photoshop competition after all!

MS Paint type entries just get votes for the LOL factor.

I usually run a fairly loose comp. Otherwise some might have been excluded for lack of obvious off road capability and such. At the end of the day it is only a laugh. It is called 'photoshop' comp but what it should really be called is 'photo manipulation' comp.

And GIMP, Photoshop or Paint, All contestants have manipulated images.

Plus it is done for a giggle, if there were a couple of grand up for grabs I might be more strict.

Both good points.
It sucks abit though if you spend ages getting perfect lines, making it look as realistic as possible, then someone beats you with a 10 second scrible.
Its all abit of fun though.
