I've done some searching through the forum and have seen some recommendations for using a Peugeot 306 battery as it provides more cranking power on start up. Is this a good option for a 1380 mpi?

My current battery in knackered and I have the mot due at the end of the week so need a decent battery.

Thanks

I should point out the my mpi is not a cooper. V5 states it simple as an "mpi" so it's a non sportspack model (w reg)

I believe the biggest battery that Will fit in the box is an 063. that's what Im currently using and it works a treat.

063 is a generic battery spec. I have a Bosch Silver S5 063.

Cool thanks for that

It's spec says 520amps for cold cracking and apparently standard mpi needs 265 amps so that should give it the extra kick to get it fired up ;)

Type 075 will fit. Gets you to 540 cold amps. Used for pug diesels, so should crank a mini...
