

Annoying Rattle

Hi I've been having this rattle from the passenger side of the engine bay only at certain rpm not sure what rpm but its at 10 mph in first 20 in second etc car runs fine pulls the same and its worse when its cold I've had the bonnet up nothing seems loose and same again under the car any help is appreciated cheers

Could be the valve in the airfilter..
Could be a resonating part because it only occurs in a certain rev-range.
Open up the bonnet, make it rev by hand (pull the cable) and see what is happening.

Sorry I forgot to add that its only whilst driving not in neutral parked up.

I had a similar problem and it was the radiator cowling. Just sealed it with some sealant and its been fine since. Worth a try....

Ive had an annoying rattle when letting the clutch out in 1st, turned out to be the bonnet prop to be rattling around

Thanks for the replies I've had a better look and the bracket that holds the radiator onto the engine looks like a bodge I tightened it rattle almost went then came back an hour or so later so I'll be looking at buying a proper one soon
