I have a Mini with 12" wheels and I want to give it that sports pack look by fitting arches and wheel spacers but I don't want to put sports pack arches on as I am aware you have to cut the arch. What other arches can I use that I don't have to alter the actual arch panel ( If that make sense )

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a case of having to cut the body to accommodate the wide 13" sportpack wheels, not the actual arches?? After all you don't cut the rear body arches, in order to put sportspack arches on the back do you? :P

But even if you can, I really would'nt put sportpack arches over 12" rims any way, as that will just look pants!! :closed: Sportpack arches really don't look right over anything other than wide 13" rims, (preferably 13" rover sportspack rims in my opinion!! ) If you want to give your car the sportspack look, then your gonna need bigger wheels I'm afraid!!

I think you got the wrong end off the stick, If you read my post again you will see I don't want the sports pack arches and I mean the body that needs to be cut not the arch.

Whatever arch you decide on,you will have to trim the metal work to accomodate the wheel,as with the rover sportspack wheel the ones you plan on fitting also have a 6 inch offset

you dont have to cut the body to fit sports pack arches, the only time you need to cut the body down is when fitting 13 wheels or wheels wider than 5.5 inches wide

Yes that's what I'm saying you only have to cut the body to accommodate the wide 13" wheels, so that the front wheels can turn without the tyres scrubbing on the body. If you are only fitting the fibreglass sportspack arches over 12", wheels then you shouldn't need to cut the body as 12" wheels dont require it. But I wouldn't put sportspack arches over 12" wheels any way as it won't look right!!

its not just the diameter of the wheel, but also the offset, which in this case is 6 inches

Yes group 2 arches are a direct replacement for standard arches. You should be able to fit them using the same holes in the body work and without the need for any cutting of the body panels. To be fair this tends to be the case with most arches though, in that the body panels generally only need cutting to accommodate bigger/wider wheels or those with a different offset and not for the arches themselves.

The only cutting required tends to be to the arches themselves, in that with group 2's you need make a small notch/cut out in each arch, in order to accommodate the body seams that run down from the roof at each corner of the car (assuming your mini has not been desaeamed that is).
