I started to work on my mini 3 years ago and at some point I've made decision to put some more new technology in old 998.
It took me few good months of thinking and designing all parts and after make a deal with JE Pistons and RR rods in USA they came in to my door.

This is what is done up to now.

It has Oselli prepared head 12g295 and 40 dcoe weber on long inlet making around 75hp

And now all will be changed ...

I have made my project to work with high revs and this is how it looks like :

Pistons and made from JE Pistons FSR forgings and spec are:

68mm oversize
27mm deck
18mm pin from JE
1.0 1.2 2.8mm rings XC6800

weight is 172g and with pin and rings instaled 237g

Prepared to work with 6" rods which are custom made also.

Try Farndon engineering

Here's a pic of my 66mm stroke crank, but for big bore..
