It is a Mk2 Mini Cooper S (twin tanks, twin carbs, oil cooler, discs, tall brake master cylinder, hydrolastic suspension, etc) and the interior/seats are standard Mk2 style.

my grandad had a few of the huge posters of minis that were on the walls of longbridge plant, (he took them when he left) unfortunately they got ruined when the shed leaked.

i see, didn't realise they had discs on any back then!
slightly confused at what is being cutaway through the door and rear seat?

The 1961 Mini Cooper (997cc) was one of the first small cars to have front disc brakes.
The rear cutaway is showing the battery, spare wheel, rear suspension and the brake shoes inside the drum.
