Hiya,

Complete mini newbie so please excuse my stupid questions!

Went to look at a second hand cooper s last night, great little car but there were a couple of things that concerned me with it.

It looks like the crank and supercharger pulleys are non-standard. I have seen you can get underdrive and overdrive pully as well as light weight standard size ones.

Would someone be able to tell me what the diameters of the standard items are so i can tell whats been done?

Also anyone know what RPM the max boost is supposed to happen at on a standard cooper s please?

Many thanks

Mike

Don't know much about the BMW mini, but there is an after market kit which replaces the pully wheels, thus altering the the speed at which the supergarger runs at... but with a smaller wheel on the crank that would suggest it runs slower, unless the one on the blower was even smaller than that..

Most people on this Forum have knowledge about classic minis rather than Modern BMW MINIs.

You might have more joy with your question on a site specifically for the new MINI. I don't know of any though, not ever having the need for one.

Supercharger Pulleys

That should help you see what pulley it is, dont know much about BWM minis but that will give you a good guide on what size it is.
