Hi guys i need a bit of advice with wiring in a digital time clock that will sit in the top dash rail.

It has 3 wires coming from the back and need to know where best to get the power feed from, i know one will be an earth but what could the other wire be and were should i connect this to?

I thought i should ask first as i dont want to destroy the wiring loom.

Many thanks

one will be a permanent feed so it can keep time, the other will make it light up so you can read it - usually connected to the "accessory" position on the ignition switch. You could pinch a permanent feed off the interior lights/horn & the other off the radio/heater.

sorry mate it was attached to a wiring loom i recently purchased for my project car, but yes it was the type that sits where the ashtray normally lives.

However if you are near a scrap yard or a Citroen xantia get the clock out of one of them its the same size as the mini ashtray recess and has been done lots before.

There you go mate not a bad price either
