I am very new! i bought a 1989 mini mayfair earlier this week. It needs some work, its my first car and i already love it!
looking to find out all i can about them and make this into a long term project and a very long term car for me.
and there she is
and my boyfriend but we can just ignore him 
wiring in there is a bit of a mess, lots of bodges and bad conections, so i think that will be my first real job on her! so if anyone could recommend any companies or individuals that are good with wiring that would be most helpfull, i am based in cambridge.
on the plus side, the engine, suspension, gearbox and clutch work very well.
we have already flushed the radiator and replaced the missing thermostat and the rusted jubilee clips on the hoses.
will need to replace the front suspension ball joints and the rest is cosmetic
would be nice to chat with fellow mini owners/enthusiasts to find out other things i need to do or should do to make it more awesome than it already is!
