Hello! so basically I have acquired the vast majority of The Beatles back catalogue on a CD, I have now got them on a memory stick as wav files. The only problem I have is that the files only play as the complete album, so for instance Abbey Road when played on itunes is one track lasting 47 minutes.
So what I want to do is cut the file up into individual tracks, all the track listings, durations etc are on wiki, so thats not a problem to sort.

I'm just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a free download?? ideally for a MAC, that'll do what I want :P

Thanks

I could send you every Beatles song ever recorded, including The very early demos, right up to the last hair on your neck moment note on top of the Apple studios... SGT Pepper, Stereo and Mono (Mono is as trippy as you like), all of the anthologys, pretty much every note The Beatles recorded... just PM me an address and I'll put it on a few DVD's for you. They're all MP3, so you can take what you like.

I use Audacity on my PC but it is also available for MAC, and it's free! http://audacity.sourceforge.net/. Straightforward to use for a job like that.

It's straight forward but its just so much effort to have to listen to and skip, listen and skip, cut, delete, mixdown, same process for every single album.. We've been mastering my dads LP collection for about 4 years, it just plays to itself in the spare room pretty much all the time so that we have digital copies and it can be put back in flight cases in the loft. Unless you really do have too much time on your hands you'd just be better off sourcing it from elsewhere
