I just installed a set of new rear brake cylinders...

However, I do not have the little paper gaskets for them, and one of my old ones didnt even have one installed. How necessary is that gasket? Should I just cut one out of paper then? (that would suck though since everything is already installed).

Also the circlip... I can't install it under my building, I'll need to drive it to some ramps, will it be okay to drive 2 minutes without the circlips?

the paper gasket isn't a vital item, i wouldn't pull it apart again just to fit them.

if its a matter of only driving about a mile or less , you should be ok driving without circlips. i had one come off my old van once, the cylinder went in towards the drum, buggering up the linings and the cylinder, but that was over a few hundred miles.

This is just personal preference but i wouldn't take any risks when it comes to brakes but its your call...
