Got a mini 25 and need a new r/h rear light cluster what mk are these ones?

Yup! Mk3 onwards!

Mk3 units have no reverse lights so you'll need anything Mk4 onwards.

I might have one in the back of the shed. How desperate are you for one and which bits exactly do you need? Top, bottom of both lenses, entire unit?

MK3 units do have reverse lights.

Mk2 are the ones that dont i believe.

I also think that there are only three types of light: mk1,mk2 and mk3.

Well apparently there was a gap. The Mk2 lights also covered Mk3 (which is why I knew they had no reverse lights). There was no change in rear light clusters until Mk4 when the reverse lamp as standard was introduced.

So, as I said up there ^^^, you will need anything from Mk4 onwards.

Unless....

You have an Innocenti. Italian Mini's had reverse lamps in the clusters at Mk3 but made by Carello rather than Lucas. Exactly the same lamp unit though and it was just copied by BL and put on the rest of the range.

Yes that's what's known as a Mk4 lamp.

As the mini25 is based on a MK4 shell (I should know as I’ve got one)

Any thing Mk4 on should fit

Although I have fitted clear rear lights on mine that seam to leak
So might be replacing them with standard ones
That are made in one peace not two


I will most likely be going down a mini grave yard near me soon so if you don’t find any I get one for ya

Yeah my MK3s dont have a reverse lamp....

Differences in looks are MK4s have a white strip on them whereas MK3s are just red and orange

just in case the point has not been made clear enough lol...they look mk4 to me, i have a mk3 gt and i don't have reversing lights
